There’s a story behind everything you see. The sights you see are but a small part of the charm. Join us on a quest for these stories, as we guide you through the bylanes of the city.

Award-winning content – now available as audio tours

Storytrails has hosted unique story-based walking tours in multiple cities since 2006. These popular tours have consistenly won critical acclaim from travelers and awards from the travel community worldwide. Now, enjoy this unique content in the form of audio tours that you can experience in your own time, at your own pace, and with many added features that are made possible by a mobile application. While our friendly storytellers make way for a mobile application, what hasn’t changed is the careful thought that goes into research, curation and presentation of content.

Location-aware

These tours are ‘location-aware’ meaning that the app senses when you have reached a certain point and automatically prompts you with the relevant content. You can choose to play, pause or replay the content at your own convenience. You can also manually select any location on the map and play the associated stories, without visiting the location. The location-aware feature allows you to select custom alerts on the app for trivia about places you are passing by and even for deals and offers near you.

Theme-based tours

These tours will take you through many places of tourist interest and also some that are not on any checklist. But these are not mere sight-seeing tours. At each location, you will hear fascinating stories straddling history, mythology and local culture – all connecting back to the theme of the tour. The tours are loaded with interesting information and tidbits about the place. And the curated stories will help you make better sense of the sights you see around you, giving them a context. As is often said, every city exists in her stories. The sights you see are but a small part of her charm. So, don’t merely visit. Come, be a part of the story!

Supplementary images: Most of the stories are supplemented with archival images sourced from the best repositories worldwide. These are clubbed with illustrations and contemporary views of places covered on the tours to add another dimension to the tour experience.

Navigation information: The app tells you not just where to go, but what to spot or look for. Because sometimes, maps just aren’t enough.
